The first commandment is this : Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the only Lord.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this : Love your neighbour as yourself.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation;
But deliver us from evil.
Apostles Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son,our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified,died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand the Father.
From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the Communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father,the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord,Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God,Light from Light,
true God from true God,
Begotten,not made,of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven :
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,the Lord the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

St. Patrick’s Breastplate
I bind unto myself today
the strong name of the Trinity,
by invocation of the same,
the Three in One and One in Three.
I bind unto myself today
The power of God to hold and lead,
His eye to watch, his might to stay,
His ear to hearken to my need.
The wisdom of my God to teach,
His hand to guide, his shield to ward;
The word of God to give me speech,
His heavenly host to be my guard.
Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
I bind unto myself today
the strong name of the Trinity,
by invocation of the same,
the Three in One and One in Three.
Of whom all nature hath creation;
Eternal Father, Spirit, Word :
Praise to the Lord of my salvation,
Salvation is of Christ the Lord. Amen.
General Thanksgiving
Almighty God, the Father of all mercies, we, your unworthy servants, give you humble and hearty thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us and to all creatures.
We bless you for our creation, our preservation, and for all the blessings of this life; but above all for your inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord, Jesus Christ, for the means of grace and for the hope of glory.
And we beg you to give us a fitting sense of all your mercies so that our hearts may be pure in thanksgiving, and that we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be all honour and glory, world without end.
