To God who gives our daily bread
a thankful song we raise,
and pray the One who sends us food
may fill our hearts with praise.
O magnify God with me,
let us exalt God’s name together.
Taste and see
that our God is good.
For every cup and plate full,
God make us truly grateful.
For health and food,
for love and friends;
for everything
Thy goodness sends,
we thank Thee.
We thank you, God,
for happy hearts,
for rain and sunny weather.
We thank you for the food we eat,
and for the time together.
Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts
which through thy bounty we are about
to receive through Christ our Lord.
All good gifts around us
are sent from heaven above;
then thank the Lord, O thank the Lord,
For all his love.
Thank you for the meal
before us spread.
For all those who worked to prepare it,
for the love that leads us to share it,
we thank you, God.
God bless the food
that here we see,
God bless you
and God bless me.
Give thanks to God with one accord
for all that is set on this board.
For all we eat,
and all we wear,
for daily bread,
and nightly care,
we thank you God.
God is great,
God is good,
and we thank him for our food.
God is great,
God is good,
let us give thanks for our food.
For sun and rain, for fruit and grain,
for friends we love so dearly,
for gentle moments, kindly hearts,
we thank you, God, sincerely.
We thank you, God our Creator,
for all things bright and good;
for seedtime and the harvest,
our life, our health, our food.
By your hand we all are fed;
thank you, God,
for daily bread.
O God,
bless this food,
those who prepare it,
and those who now share it.
O Lord, the merciful and good,
bless and sanctify our food.
Grant they to us may wholesome be,
and make us thankful unto thee.
For these and all other mercies
may we be given thankful hearts.
Benedictus benedicat.
(Let the blessed bless.)
God bless this food;
God bless this day,
and keep us safe
in every way.
This simple meal
will happier be
if we, O God,
remember thee.
Come Lord Jesus, be our guest,
and let these gifts to us be blest.
Blessed be God, who is our Bread:
may all the world be clothed and fed.
Let us, with a gladsome mind,
Praise the Lord, for He is kind:
all things living He doth feed,
His full hand supplies their need.
God, we thank you for this food,
for rest and home and all things good.
For wind and rain and sun above,
and, most of all, for those we love.
Thank you for the wind and rain
and sun and pleasant weather;
and thank you now for this our food
and that we are together.
We thank you
for our daily bread.
Let also, God,
our souls be fed.
O Bread of Life,
from day to day
sustain us on
our homeward way.
Bless us and each of our families.
Bless this food we eat.
And may we be a blessing
to all that we meet.
O Lord,who art the first and last,
We thank you for this fine repast,
And ask that we may always do,
What helps others and pleases you.
Benedic,Domine nos et haec tua dona quae
de tua largitate sumus sumpturi (per Christum
Dominum nostrum). Amen. (Bless us O
Lord and these Thy gifts which we are
about to receive from Thy bounty through Christ our Lord.)
God is great and God is good,
And we thank Him for this food.
By His hand must all be fed;
Give us, Lord, our daily bread.
